Affiliate Disclosure

Top5soft participates in affiliate programmes. This page explains how affiliate links work and how they relate to our editorial decisions. Last updated: 2026-05-01.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that attributes a purchase or sign-up to our site. If you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission – at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or visit the vendor directly.

How we label affiliate links

Articles that contain affiliate links display a disclosure notice at the top of the page. Individual links are not separately labelled, but any article with the disclosure banner contains one or more affiliate links.

Affiliate revenue and editorial independence

Affiliate commissions fund our hardware purchases and testing operations. However, affiliate relationships have no influence over our scores, rankings, or written verdicts. We do not accept payment to include a product in a ranking, to improve its score, or to exclude a competitor.

Reviewers are not shown affiliate revenue data for individual products. A product that generates high commissions is subject to exactly the same testing rubric as one that generates none.

Programmes we participate in

We participate in affiliate programmes operated by Amazon, software vendors, and dedicated affiliate networks (e.g., Impact, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate). The specific programmes in use vary by article and category.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). If you have questions about a specific affiliate relationship, email editorial@top5soft.com.
